In a small town, the police have no power to stop crime. The only thing close to law and order is a security force, controlled by a local millionaire. Under his orders, the security force lets a gang in the town run wild and do as they please. One night the gang rapes Georgia, a young telepathic woman, and she goes into a coma. They also beat her small son. The powers-that-be accuse Rick, an old man and friend of Georgia, and lock him in prison. Once there, he is killed and it is made to look like a suicide. While in a hospital bed and hooked to machines, Georgia uses her telepathic powers to bring Rick back from death and to seek revenge on those who have wronged them. Return From Death (also known as Frankenstein 2000) was D'Amato's last stab at horror, and he serves as editor, writer, cinematographer and director under various different names. Laura Gemser worked on the film as costume designer.
