After 10 years, police officer Dan "Knell" Caputo returns home to Philadelphia from Italy to investigate the death of his father, who was also a police officer. With the help of a childhood friend who happens to be an underworld crime lord, Knell gets closer to solving his father's murder, but he is pursued by corrupt cops and criminals at every turn.
