A young author visits the home of her publisher and forces him to read her latest manuscript at gun point. The manuscript, entitled "The Pensione of Desire", tells the tale of the inhabitants of an old house, which include a domineering mistress and an athlete who practices Eastern meditation alone in his room. The newest person to come to the house is a young woman named Annie. As she gets to know each of the people, she enters a dream-like world of erotic exploration.
